Pre-Approval Information
Projects involving Human Participants, Vertebrates and Higher Functioning Invertebrates, Potentially Hazardous Biological Agents (includes microbes, tissue/cell lines, organs, organ parts, blood products, rDNA, phages), Hazardous Chemicals, Activities or Devices (HCAD) need to obtain pre-approval from the LACSEF Scientific Review Committee (SRC) before experimentation may begin. Project plans must comply with guidelines from the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) as modified by the Los Angeles County Science & Engineering Fair in regard to safety and ethics.
Intent to Participate
All projects require completion of an Intent to Participate Form, whether they require pre-approval or not.
